MR STAN MAN - May 30, 1989 Brown Stallion

'Stan' is a grandson of GAY BAR KING (NCHA money-earner, Race money-earner, ROM Performance '67 O, Performance Point Earner and Halter Point Earner) as well as a grandson of CONTINENTAL KING (NRHA World Champion 1960, Superior Performance, '66 RN NCHA money-earner, ROM Performance, '64 O, Performance Point Earner, Hall of Fame, '88 NRHA Inductee)

His dam KING LADY BIRD was bred by Steve Barr's long time friend Lowell Hankins, Rocksprings, Texas. MR STAN MAN had reining training, he is very athletic and a big stopper. Because of the speed in his great grandsires THREE BARS (TB) and GOOD BIRD (TB) he crosses very well on Barrel Race mares, but he also produces good reining and roping horses. On a foundation bred mare he adds speed, size and versatility. He stands 14,3 HH, many of his offspring mature taller than he himself. His pedigree also shows the great sire LEO and goes back to KING P-234 six times. As he hasn't produced any foal with a red mane and tail, we have tested him for the red factor gene and there was no red factor detected. The results determine that he can be assumed to be homozygous for the black pigment (EE). This means he will not produce a red foal regardless of the color of his mate. ( NO SORRELS, CHESTNUTS OR PALOMINO )

Mr Stan Man lived with us for 27 years and was put down after a seizure at age 28 here at Fox Ranch

He produced about 80 registered AQHA foals and 2 registered Appaloosa foals.
